Drawn Thread

Hello friends and visitors,

Today I thought I would show some of the work I have been doing on the drawn thread embroidery SAL organised by Judy.

The design is composed of eighteen small embroidered squares which frame a centre pattern.

I used a piece of cream coloured 28ct linen and white perle #12 thread.

These patterns are shown here in no particular order and the photos taken at various stages of my progress so the lighting varies a bit.

Some squares were easier and therefore quicker to stitch than others but all are very clearly explained by Judy.

The centre flower pattern has just been released, so that is my next step.  Thank you for taking the time to pass by.  Until next week.

Linking to Supermom no cape stitchery party.
Sheryl

  20. Such an interesting project, Sheryl. I have used this technique once in a band sampler where two or three bands were made with drawn thread work. Your squares look absolutely beautiful.
