All My Mums

Apart from needlework, genealogy is my other great passion and as we have been thinking about mothers all this week, I thought it appropriate to include a few photos of my `mothers tree´.

I made these caricatures when my granddaughter was a toddler and could be included in this female line of my family history. (Needless to say no one resembles anyone)

 more grandmothers and great-grandmothers.

My research goes back to 1791.

I removed the embroidered design from its frame, so to take clearer photos. although I don´t know what happened to the above example! and  I erased a couple of surnames to protect privacy.

Wishing all mums a very happy day today.
