Getting my photos prepared for today I noticed that this is to be yet another `pink post´. If you asked me which is my favourite colour I would say blue, so how come I keep buying, sewing and embroidering pink things?
According to Wikipedia the colour pink is named after the pretty garden flower and is not a favourite colour with either men or women and men even have difficulty in distinguishing the different shades.....yeah well, that definitely rings a bell, when DH calls out "which t-shirt shall I wear?" and yours faithfully replies "wear the maroon one" and there he goes sporting a pillar box red one.
This pretty design is by Eva and you can find her beautiful work at My Hobby Gallery. I chose a piece of anonymous pink evenweave from my stash, selected perlé cotton #12 and #8 for the hardanger work and some pink and green DMC threads for the embroidery.
I really like hardanger and whitework embroidery and will probably make this pretty design into a pincushion.
My next post is not going to be pink. See you later.

that is just beautiful! so pretty and delicate. I did find it hard to read your post though because of the font...
ReplyDeleteYou do such beautiful work. What will you make with it?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous....you do such lovely work. I'm not a fan of pink but I seem to have quite a bit of pink fabric too.
ReplyDeleteYour work is so pretty! I'm not a fan of pink but when I look at my stash there is quite a bit of pink! Mind you I could say the same about green, blue, orange, brown, yellow. Purple is the only one that there isn't much of!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteI have nothing against a pink post - I love pinks and reds, from the clearest to the darkest. Your little pink finish is so delicate, I just love it.
