Not a lot done this week and nothing completely finished. I embroidered this Love design because I liked the simple mixture of stitches and colour tones.
The pattern is from the magazine Labores and is shown as a book cover.
but as yet I don´t know what I will make the finished piece into.
I used the recommended threads apart from the gold E3852 which nobody here stocks, so I chose Anchor 303 which I had on hand.
and used fabric from my stash which perhaps wasn´t the best idea as the pattern would probably look better on a darker tone.
I really enjoyed stitching this and must sew it up into something useful and not put it in the UFO drawer.
Until next week.

This is lovely Sheryl. I like the delicate look of the specialty stitches on the lighter linen. So very pretty.
ReplyDeleteWill look forward to seeing how you decide to finish it.

ReplyDeleteLOVE your love embroidery, Sheryl. The tone on tone is so pretty and elegant and your stitching is sublime. This beautiful pretty is much too lovely to be hidden in your drawer as an UFO.

ReplyDeleteWhat a delight! Simply stunning!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching , Sheryl!!:) Looking forward to what you finish it into.
ReplyDeleteOh my, that is completely stunning
ReplyDeleteOh my Sheryl, you are right - this piece mustn't disappear in the UFO drawer, it's much too beautiful for the drawer. I love the tone in tone stitching on that light fabric and I doubt if it would look better on a darker fabric. It wouldn't look better, just different, but certainly just as beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really great design. Looks pretty. Hopefully you will finish it soon
ReplyDeleteSo delicate, so lovely...
