As a lot of kind comments were made on my last post regarding my hoop holder, I decided to make another one, blue this time, as a giveaway. So if you are interested, just leave a comment on this post before the end of next week when I will announce the winner.
The holder measures 9 inches across and has a plain cream coloured lining.
I managed to take some photos this week of my little Spice of Life crocheted blanket, finished some time ago but which still needs to be blocked.
When I started this I wanted to use up those odd balls of wool one has knocking about the house and happily mixed lots of colours, which isn´t my style at all.
However half way through the blanket I decided that I didn´t like the rows done in beige and so I cut them out and then stitch by stitch joined the pattern again and it doesn´t notice at all, or does it?
The border was an easy narrow one.
I am also still knitting squares for my granddaughter´s granny blanket.
Until next week, happy stitching,

You are so crafty. I could not tell at all you cute out the beige and stitched back together - I do love the crazy colors, its very pretty. Your Knitted squares look wonderful for your Granddaughters blanket. Please include me in your giveaway. It's so beautiful. Thank you
ReplyDeleteThe blanket looks lovely but I am sure your granddaughter's blanket will look much more to my taste as I love blues and seafoam colour. But the hoop case giveaway is totally to my taste as it is so useful and so beautiful at the same time. Thanks for the chance if it is internationally open. AriadnefromGreece!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful makes!
ReplyDeleteThe blanket is so colourful, I love it :)
Good luck to everyone who enter your lovely giveaway.
Please do not include me in your draw, I mainly use Qsnaps.

ReplyDeleteLinda
Lovely work on everything!
ReplyDeleteWow just fell in love with your giveaway please add my name.
ReplyDeleteLove your blanket so pretty .
Oh, I love this blue one, Sheryl--I'll pass on your giveaway, though, as I was lucky enough to win your Christmas mat mugs last year :) The blanket is fabulous--such happy colors!
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying a lovely May!
Beautiful, love the pink version too! Thank you for the chance!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Love that brightly coloured blanket, Sheryl. It certainly packs a wonderful punch of colours. The hoop pretty is beautiful. So pretty in blue and your embroidery is gorgeous as usual. BUT....my favourite pretty this post are those 'to-die-for' patches and flowers for your grandaughter's blanket. My heart is swooning over those pretty hues!
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous post full of crafty goodness! Your Spice of Life blanket turned out perfectly, and I love your knitted squares and flowers for your granddaughter's blanket. My favourite has to be your gorgeous giveaway prize though - it's so pretty! But much as I love it, I don't use a hoop so please don't include me in your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteYour little hoop pocket is adorable. I love the flowers, the French words, the fabrics, the whole thing! And your blanket is superb. I can't believe you cut out rows. Quite brave! But very creative! Nice work. Happy May!
ReplyDeleteEven prettier than the first one Sheryl! The blanket looks gorgeous - I love those colours even if they are leftovers. xx
ReplyDeleteYour hoop holder is so cute, it is so nice to have something beautiful to hold your work. The afghan turned out great too. Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteALL your projects are so pretty! Thanks and God bless! ILuvTheEucharist (at) aol.com
ReplyDeleteBlue is my favorite color, so of course I had to comment for a chance to win. The hoop holder is beautiful and I love your crochet projects--so charming!
ReplyDeleteYes please - I love the hoop holder - such a clever idea!
ReplyDeleteI am not interested in the give away (I don't use hoops), but I wanted to comment anyway... the hoop holder is truly lovely! Such cheerful colors in your crochet too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a colourful post this is, Sheryl. And although these colours of the blanket might not be your usual style this blanket looks fantastic. And you were doing a great job cutting out the beige stripes and putting the remaining stripes together again.
ReplyDeleteThe granny blanket for your granddaughter will be wonderful. I love the colour combination very much.
That hoop holder is a great idea for a giveaway. But please, don't count me in - I'm an in-hand stitcher and don't use hoops. So someone who uses hoops should be the winner of your generous giveaway.
what a lovely giveaway, there is no way I wouldn't enter to win this as it's beautiful! The blanket looks really lovely, I bookmarked this pattern to use up my odd balls of yarn too!
ReplyDeleteOh Sheryl!
ReplyDeleteI love your Summer Flowers, such a beautiful sewing pouch! It's just the right size for my "Splendid Sampler" patches awaiting embroidery! However, as I won a super prize from you last year don't include me in your giveaway (did you make a pattern for the xstitch flowers or can I copy yours, as I would love to make a pouch like it).
Your blankets are such pretty colours, and I can't see the join!
Have a great week!
Barbara xx
Hi! Hope I'm not too late to be in the giveaway, as this blue one is lovely too. About your blanket I was trying to see if the ranks are organized or knitted at random ? Anyway the finish is perfect with all those candy colors. Bisous
ReplyDeleteI love your hoop.... and I love that you doing a giveaway for your pretty blue one :o)
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed I am in time for the giveaway :o)
Love the colours in the finished blanket... and the granny squares are so pretty.
Hugs xx
