Hello hello, The last Wednesday of the month means it is time for the Smalls SAL check-in, so if you would like to stitch a little something each month, do join us and visit Heather at Stitching Lotus for all the information.
This month I haven´t had time to do much needlework although I did manage to finish the pattern by V Enginger which I was struggling with and it now just needs finishing touches and so now I am posting photos of a needlebook which I made for my stitching buddy Margaret of Margaret my blog.
I really like this design by Lizzie Kate and I may do more of these as Christmas gifts, needlebooks are always so handy.
I added a tiny length of thread to the bobbins to add a bit of colour.
Hope to get working on some Halloween or Christmas stitching now that all my visitors have gone home and I will have more time.
See you next week.
Sheryl
Cheryl, you made wonderful finishing for SAL, I like those bobbins, it's such a good idea.
ReplyDeleteOh Sheryl...your stitching is sheer perfection! I just love this gorgeous needle book you lovingly made for Margaret! And the colours are divine too!

ReplyDeleteCute needlebook. Like the idea of adding the stitching on top of the fabric. And the spools were an inspired embellishment!
ReplyDeleteLovely needlebook. The spools are adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful needle book and the bobbin charms are looking great!! How do you cut that fabric with zig zag border? I have used pattern craft scissor but I could not cut a felt fabric with that , they could be used only on papers.
ReplyDeleteHi Preeti, I used fabric pinking shears from our local department store they are sharp and cut all types of material.
DeleteLovely sewing and the spools look so great with it. LIzzie Kate charts are so lovely aren't they. Maria

So beautiful, this little neelebook. And you are right, it's a wonderful gift for a stitcher. Now after seeing these little bobbins I have to go and search for them on the internet. They are such cute finishing ideas.
ReplyDeleteDear Sheryl,
ReplyDeletebeautiful little needlecase, love the stitchery and the thread on the bobbins. such a neat idea.
Greetings,
Sylvia
I love the needlecase. It is so pretty and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteSheryl, that is such a cute design and a wonderful finish - I bet Margaret will be thrilled with her new needle book.
ReplyDeleteNeedle books make wonderful gifts even for non sewers. Most of my non sewing friends have asked me to make them because it is a good place to keep safety pins and the odd needle with thread for sewing on escapee buttons. You new little book is so pretty and I love those spools with thread!
ReplyDeleteLovely needlebook. The sentiment is perfect for us stitchers. I love the little bobbins too, nice touch.
ReplyDeleteI love needle books! You did a fantastic job on the stitching and finishing. Great design as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely little needlebook. They are fun to make and quick as well. Love the red colors and the little spools. What a nice gift. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling needlebook, Sheryl--the colors, ribbon, and spools all come together so nicely. I'm sure Margaret will be thrilled!
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching, as usual your finish details add always an elegant touch! xxx
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so incredibly pretty...I think this thought every time I come to read!
ReplyDeleteLizzie Kate patterns are so wonderful...I'm stitching Unseen Things right now and am considering getting the pattern you just stitched for the needle book!
