I didn´t do a post for the January Smalls SAL as I got railroaded by the winter blues which monotonously insist on visiting me each winter and have me dragging myself about until the arrival of Spring. This month I did manage to finish off a couple of designs that I started many years ago. One is the Lord´s Prayer.
and the other is of The Ten Commandments.
The Smalls SAL is hosted by Heather at Stitching Lotus, so if you would like to stitch a little something or other each month, just click on the link and join us.
For those of you who have a surplus of bright happy weather and sunshine, please send some to Gijon, Asturias, Spain, where it has been raining since Christmas - many thanks. Until next time

Beautiful finishes!! I know what you mean about the winter blues. More than a couple of dark days puts me in the doldrums. Sending some hope for sunshine your way!! Laura
ReplyDeleteSurprised to find out the Sun is hiding in your part of the world!
ReplyDeleteYou stitching finishes are lovely :)
Your stitching is so beautiful and looks great in the frames Sheryl! It is cold with ice and snow here. Me too looking forward to spring!

ReplyDeleteSorry your weather is so dreary. We need your rain her in California. As always, your work is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh that's a lot of rain. Surely Spring is just around your corner. Both of your stitcheries are lovely and the frames are perfect. Hoping the sun is shining soon to lift your spirits.
ReplyDeleteI love love the finishes. I think they look perfect in those frames! Hope the spring comes soon to life your spirits. It's been dragging me down too, but stitching springy things is helping a little. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice finishes and I think the frames are perfect.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful finishes Sheryl :) I love the little bead flowers!
ReplyDeleteI love the frames you have chosen
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finishes. I always want to do Lord's prayer. You inspired me to try soon. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYour finishes are both lovely, Sheryl--the beaded flowers around the border make them even more special :) I'm sorry the winter blues have hit you--I've been pretty good this year in spite of our record low temps and snow. We are due to hit -7° tomorrow (-21C). At least I can sit in my warm house and stitch :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful finishes and I like the size of the frames.
ReplyDeleteDear Sherly,

Such beautiful stitching and finishing. I think the frames you chose complement the stitching very well. I hope that meanwhile it has stopped raining where you live and some brighter weather is lifting your mood.
ReplyDeleteYour finishes are so lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd, believe me, I understand the winter blues. January was terrible for me, and February wasn't much better. But, March is here and better weather is on the way. Right?
My dear Sheryl, your stitching is incredibly beautiful! I always admire those of you who can embroider and cross-stitch...it is such a lovely art :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing at Roses of Inspiration. May you have a delightful week. Hugs!

Hi, I'm visiting from Roses of Inspiration. Your stitching is lovely and I think the frames are perfect.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have finished your projects, the frames work perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI like both frames for those projects. I always get the winter blues too, I think it's the lack of sunlight that does me in!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching and great idea!
ReplyDeleteThere are both lovely pieces! I don't believe I have ever seen the design before. Also thanks for your comments on my blog but I am not sure I understand what you mean by "no reply" or how to fix it. Mare
