When I made a couple of knitting needle holders a couple of weeks back, I also made a little case for my crochet hooks but couldn´t get it photographed in time to include with that post, so here is the case.
I finished off the holder with the same horrible button - well it´s not horrible really, just not what I want but I will change all the buttons when I find ones I like better.
I also want to show you the threads that I received from Gillie at British Lady by the Lake. I won her generous giveaway in December of 15 DMC threads. The giveaway was only for people living outside the USA where our embroidery threads are more expensive. Here in Spain they cost 1,5 euros a skein. I left the colour choice up to Gillie and here they are.............. Thank you Gillie.
and on the subject of giveaways.......Who won my Grow Your Blog party giveaway? This lovely little velvet pouch?
I´ve used Mr Random Generator.....
.
...and he has chosen Nº 5 which is PATTY at Patty´s Pretty Things.........Congratulations Patty. I will be contacting you today for your mailing details.
My thanks to Vicki at 2 Bags Full for having organised this Grow your Blog event and to all those who have spent time visiting me, leaving very kind appreciated comments and to those who have become new followers.... Thank you.
Until next week.

ReplyDeleteYour hooks case is pretty !! Congrats on winning the giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteAnd voilà the third of these needle holders, just as beautifully made as the other two.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning the threads from Gillie. I know about all the prizes for DMC threads here in Europe and whenever I am in the USA I buy DMC threads, mostly more than 100 skeins. And it's the same with quilting fabrics. They are usually twice as expensive here as in the US.
Congratulations to Patty. I know that she is going to be thrilled with the little pouch! As always your work is exquisite!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sheryl for choosing me. I am such a lucky winner to receive your beautiful velvet pouch!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful creation, Sheryl! I don't crochet so I had no idea there were so many different hooks. The fabric combination you've used is wonderful. And how nice to win the floss--what a shocking price you pay for DMC in Spain!
ReplyDeleteI love the patchwork effect with fabric too, could be clever to use some small rests of fabric I have sewed gifts with but I'd like to keep memory. Always find great ideas on your blog. Thanks. xxx
ReplyDeleteWonderful hook and needles cases! You are so very creative.
