Hello and welcome to all who find themselves here today, whether a usual visitor or having stopped by for the first time via The Grow Your Blog party which starts today.
This exciting event is organized by Vicki at 2 Bags Full and is a wonderful opportunity to discover new blogs and meet new friends.
I´m Sheryl, English and living in the North of Spain. I started this blogging adventure just over a year ago as a means of keeping a record of my needlework and since then I have met many worldwide talented friends, so I hope to meet more through this party. My other hobbies are genealogy, gardening and reading.
Do have a quick look around while you are here and if you like what you see, maybe become a follower. I love embroidery and applique.
I like to include hardanger in some small designs.
or maybe black or redwork.
I also enjoy crochet.
I haven´t done a lot of quilting lately and my `never-ending´ quilt is still without borders and backing. Here it is, really should finish it - perhaps this year.
and knitted her this little scarf for Christmas.
Thank you for having stopped by and if you would like to leave a comment on this post, I´ll enter your name in my giveaway which is this little jewellery bag.
Anyone can enter, you don´t have to have a blog or become a follower, all may enter. One winner will be announced here on this blog on the 15th FEBRUARY. ( GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED)
Well I hope you have fun with this blog hop and will return here again soon. If you click on the above link it will take you to Vicki´s blog and the list of all the other participants.
Have fun, I´m off to visit too.

Oh my goodness Sheryl! A gal after my own heart! Where do I start! I can't pick a place... the cross stitch journal cover is fabulous! I have just gotten back in to cross stitch after a 20 year sabbatical! I always thought bigger was better but my eyes decided they did not want to do things that took forever. I now have fallen in love with smaller projects so I can once again enjoy the stitching.
ReplyDeleteThe lace edging on your pillowcases are divine! Your hardanger is gorgeous.. that is one thing I have never tried. LOVE the playing card pouches! I never thought about how those would look! but they are fantastic!... and the mermaids!
I love your work and will be adding you to my sidebar reading list so I can see your updates immediately when I log on to my blog in the mornings. :)
Dear Sheryl,
ReplyDeletenice introduction and beautiful projects you have made. So you are the one with the mermaid pockets, now I know. Great idea.
Greetings,
Sylvia
Hi Sheryl. I've been following you since the last GYB party. I decided to join this year also. Love your work. It is all so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery is lovely! The crocheted lace on the pillowcases reminds me of my grandmother's annual gift -- even though she has been gone for over 35 years, I still use them regularly!!
ReplyDeleteOohhh, your mermaid purses are so gorgeous - perfect little gems! Your work is really lovely. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh Sheryl, What a creative person you are. I have been visiting your blog for quite a while and have seen a lot of your creations, but seeing them all in this post together is just fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and taking the time to leave me a comment so I could find you! What lovely embroidery you do, Hardanger, crocheted edging and knitting...you are like me such a variety of interests! Don't you love using the stitched on purse frames? I have made a couple and really enjoy them. Your giveaway of the jewelry pouch is beautiful. I look forward to reading more of your blog and getting to know you.

Hello from Missouri, USA. You have some awesome projects! Your crochet and quilting are gorgeous, as are your embroidery. What intrigues me the most, though, is the hardanger. I've never heard of that but it's beautiful! Oh, another NEW thing to learn!! I also enjoy reading, genealogy and gardening. I'm a new follower! Thanks for your visit and kind words.
ReplyDeleteHi Sheryl, Dropping by on the GYB party. I think we "found" each other here last year, didn't we? Always great to see your beautiful work. I love your "never-ending " quilt... love the colors!! Have fun on the party hop!!

ReplyDeleteNice to meet you! I love your work, and signed up to follow you with bloglovin. sarah@forrussia.org
ReplyDeleteThank you for the introduction. Love your handiwork! And if the quilt ever gets finished it is going to be amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to read your introduction. I love those mermaid purses! Theyre fantastic.
ReplyDeleteLovely to meet you - your work is exquisite! I love your purses.
ReplyDeleteHey Sheryl. I have a feeling you emailed me at some stage and I was very rude and haven't replied (accept my apologies). I absolutely love your fish! and can't believe the patience and intricacy of your crochet! Last time I attempted crochet it was about 150 flowers ... really boring and definitely not so neat. Would love to enter your giveaway ... and come over for mine (sadly no gorgeous pictures like yours as it is still a work in progress).
ReplyDeleteHello Sheryl
ReplyDeleteIt’s so nice to meet you at Vicki's Grow your Blog party!
Thank you for visiting my little corner of blogland.
I’m a stitcher too, your hardanger work is a treat to see!
I have done a little of it, sadly my eyes have deteriorated so I am very careful what I use them for now! I have so many projects lined up for my granddaughters!
Vicki has very kindly provided us with this great platform for artists to view one anothers work and engage.
I have had a good browse through your blog and seen lots of your beautiful work!
Your jewellery bag is exquisite!
Enjoy the party and I'll be back to visit again once the party quietens down!
There are so many new interesting people to meet and so little time!
Hugs
Shane

Your glass and phone cases are fantastic. Where did you get that design?
ReplyDeleteI have a project to make up of a scissor fob that reads, Snip for a queen and this case for my glasses in my sewing tote would be fantastic. Thanks and it's nice to see your lovely work.
